10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD DRINK WARM LEMON WATER IN THE MORNING


Have you heard of these recommendations "Always take lemon water in the morning , and the  water added  to the  lemon juice  should  be  Lukewarm ,  or as  hot  as  you can tolerate"? Well I have, countless times so out of curiosity I decided to look into why this is recommended and here is what I found;




Hot/Warm  Lemon  Water:

1.  Boosts  Your  Immune  System :
 Lemons  are  high  in vitamin C, which  is  great  for fighting  colds.   They’re  high in potassium,  which stimulates  brain and nerve  function.  Potassium  also helps  control blood pressure.

2.  Balances  pH:
Drink  lemon  water everyday  and you’ll  reduce  your body’s  overall  acidity. Lemon is  one  of the  most  alkaline  foods  around.  Yes, lemon  has  citric  acid  but  it  does  not  create  acidity in the  body once  metabolized.

3.  Helps  With  Weightloss:
Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster.

4.  Aids  Digestion :  
Lemon  juice  helps  flush out  unwanted  materials. It  encourages  the  liver to produce  bile  which is  an  acid  that  required for digestion. Efficient  digestion  reduces  heartburn and constipation

5.  Is a Diuretic :
Lemons  increase  the  rate  of urination in the  body, which helps  purify it.  Toxins  are, therefore,  released  at  a  faster rate  which helps  keep your urinary  tract  healthy.

6.  Clears Skin :  
The  vitamin C component  helps  decrease  wrinkles  and  blemishes. Lemon water purges  toxins  from  the  blood which helps  keep skin clear as  well.  It  can  actually be  applied  directly to scars  to help  reduce  their  appearance.

7.  Freshens Breath:
Not only this, but  it  can  help relieve  Tooth Pain and Gingivitis .  The  citric  acid can erode  tooth enamel,  so you should  monitor  this.

8.  Relieves Respiratory Problems :
Warm  lemon water  helps  get  rid  of chest  infections  and  halt those  pesky coughs. It’s  thought  to be  helpful  to  people  with asthma  and allergies  too.

9.  Keeps  You  Zen :
Vitamin C is one of the  first  things  depleted when you subject  your mind  and body to stress.  As  mentioned previously, lemons  are  chock full  of vitamin  C.

10.  Helps  Kick  The  Coffee  Habit :  
After  I have  a  glass  of hot  lemon  water,  I actually don’t  crave coffee  in  the  morning.  This  is  weird, I can’t  explain it,  but  I’ll  take  it.

The  one  thing I couldn’t  find a  concrete  answer to is  why the  water  has  to  be  warm.
But Having  studied Chinese  Medicine, I can  only assume  that  cold  water likely  provides  a  shock or stress  factor to  the body.
It  takes extra energy for your body to process  cold  and really hot  water, hence why Luke warm is recommended.

What Is White Sugar?
White sugar is that sweet crystalline substance obtained from various plants especially Sugar cane and Sugar beet, consisting essentially of sucrose, and used as a sweetener in food and hot drinks e.g tea.

White refined sugar is also found in;
Cakes
Pies
Fruit juices
Candy and so many other things that we crave every day.


Many people are addicted to white sugar and don’t even know it. I believe this addiction is the main reason people get belly fat. Many people don’t think they eat a lot of sugar because they don’t eat a lot of sweets like Cookies or Candy, but the problem is that sugar is hidden in many foods, including bread, muffins, and even dried fruit.

I believe sugar is toxic. It has no nutritional value, it’s highly addictive, and it makes you sick and fat.
Are you having a Panic attack right now just thinking about giving up sugar? You have to look at kicking the sugar habit as though you are ending an addiction. The key is to understand where your sugar is coming from and then find alternatives to eating so much sugar in your foods.
Sugar is measured in grams, and 4 grams of sugar equals one teaspoon. Your Coca-cola has 27 grams of sugar, that’s about  7 teaspoons of sugar in just one bottle. You can see how so many people end up ingesting so much sugar every day. I used to think I was eating a healthy breakfast by eat-ing oatmeal. However, it wasn’t regular oatmeal but the sweetened, flavored, instant oatmeal, like apple-cinnamon oatmeal, and it had about 20 grams of sugar per serving (5 teaspoons!), which is way too much.
As a guideline, the best way to minimize the amount of sugar in your diet is to choose foods that have 5 grams or less per serving.

When the drink or food item has 5 grams or less of sugar per serving size, the body doesn’t overreact to the sugar. This means your pancreas will not have to release too much insulin. (It’s excess insulin that causes belly fat in the body.)

To sweeten foods, it is always better to use stevia or some equivalent herbal sweetener rather than sugar. Stevia is a natural sweetener made from a plant native to South America and Central America. Other countries have been using stevia as a sugar substitute for several decades because it is virtually calorie-free and does not affect blood glucose, which makes it a great natural alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners.

Sugar will cause belly fat and make you feel irritable, moody, and tired. It can cause numerous health problems, so commit to breaking your sugar addiction today!
