10 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD DRINK WARM LEMON WATER IN THE MORNING


Have you heard of these recommendations "Always take lemon water in the morning , and the  water added  to the  lemon juice  should  be  Lukewarm ,  or as  hot  as  you can tolerate"? Well I have, countless times so out of curiosity I decided to look into why this is recommended and here is what I found;




Hot/Warm  Lemon  Water:

1.  Boosts  Your  Immune  System :
 Lemons  are  high  in vitamin C, which  is  great  for fighting  colds.   They’re  high in potassium,  which stimulates  brain and nerve  function.  Potassium  also helps  control blood pressure.

2.  Balances  pH:
Drink  lemon  water everyday  and you’ll  reduce  your body’s  overall  acidity. Lemon is  one  of the  most  alkaline  foods  around.  Yes, lemon  has  citric  acid  but  it  does  not  create  acidity in the  body once  metabolized.

3.  Helps  With  Weightloss:
Lemons are high in pectin fiber, which helps fight hunger cravings. It also has been shown that people who maintain a more alkaline diet lose weight faster.

4.  Aids  Digestion :  
Lemon  juice  helps  flush out  unwanted  materials. It  encourages  the  liver to produce  bile  which is  an  acid  that  required for digestion. Efficient  digestion  reduces  heartburn and constipation

5.  Is a Diuretic :
Lemons  increase  the  rate  of urination in the  body, which helps  purify it.  Toxins  are, therefore,  released  at  a  faster rate  which helps  keep your urinary  tract  healthy.

The  vitamin C component  helps  decrease  wrinkles  and  blemishes. Lemon water purges  toxins  from  the  blood which helps  keep skin clear as  well.  It  can  actually be  applied  directly to scars  to help  reduce  their  appearance.

Not only this, but  it  can  help relieve  Tooth Pain and Gingivitis .  The  citric  acid can erode  tooth enamel,  so you should  monitor  this.

Warm  lemon water  helps  get  rid  of chest  infections  and  halt those  pesky coughs. It’s  thought  to be  helpful  to  people  with asthma  and allergies  too.

Vitamin C is one of the  first  things  depleted when you subject  your mind  and body to stress.  As  mentioned previously, lemons  are  chock full  of vitamin  C.

10.  Helps  Kick  The  Coffee  Habit :  
After  I have  a  glass  of hot  lemon  water,  I actually don’t  crave coffee  in  the  morning.  This  is  weird, I can’t  explain it,  but  I’ll  take  it.

The  one  thing I couldn’t  find a  concrete  answer to is  why the  water  has  to  be  warm.
But Having  studied Chinese  Medicine, I can  only assume  that  cold  water likely  provides  a  shock or stress  factor to  the body.
It  takes extra energy for your body to process  cold  and really hot  water, hence why Luke warm is recommended.

What Is White Sugar?
White sugar is that sweet crystalline substance obtained from various plants especially Sugar cane and Sugar beet, consisting essentially of sucrose, and used as a sweetener in food and hot drinks e.g tea.

White refined sugar is also found in;
Cakes
Pies
Fruit juices
Candy and so many other things that we crave every day.


Many people are addicted to white sugar and don’t even know it. I believe this addiction is the main reason people get belly fat. Many people don’t think they eat a lot of sugar because they don’t eat a lot of sweets like Cookies or Candy, but the problem is that sugar is hidden in many foods, including bread, muffins, and even dried fruit.

I believe sugar is toxic. It has no nutritional value, it’s highly addictive, and it makes you sick and fat.
Are you having a Panic attack right now just thinking about giving up sugar? You have to look at kicking the sugar habit as though you are ending an addiction. The key is to understand where your sugar is coming from and then find alternatives to eating so much sugar in your foods.
Sugar is measured in grams, and 4 grams of sugar equals one teaspoon. Your Coca-cola has 27 grams of sugar, that’s about  7 teaspoons of sugar in just one bottle. You can see how so many people end up ingesting so much sugar every day. I used to think I was eating a healthy breakfast by eat-ing oatmeal. However, it wasn’t regular oatmeal but the sweetened, flavored, instant oatmeal, like apple-cinnamon oatmeal, and it had about 20 grams of sugar per serving (5 teaspoons!), which is way too much.
As a guideline, the best way to minimize the amount of sugar in your diet is to choose foods that have 5 grams or less per serving.

When the drink or food item has 5 grams or less of sugar per serving size, the body doesn’t overreact to the sugar. This means your pancreas will not have to release too much insulin. (It’s excess insulin that causes belly fat in the body.)

To sweeten foods, it is always better to use stevia or some equivalent herbal sweetener rather than sugar. Stevia is a natural sweetener made from a plant native to South America and Central America. Other countries have been using stevia as a sugar substitute for several decades because it is virtually calorie-free and does not affect blood glucose, which makes it a great natural alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners.

Aside from the after smell onion leaves in  the mouth, and the tear it leaves in the eyes, Onion is highly nutritious and  has a unique flavour  with each variety exhibiting potential health benefits.

A Revolutionary Treatment That Could Stop Cancer From Ever Coming Back!

This is close to becoming widely available, scientists said yesterday. Dubbed a living drug’, it will act in a similar way to a vaccine, by being constantly alert for the disease returning.

T-CELL IMMUNOTHERAPY hit headlines last year when British baby, Layla Richards became one of the first people in the world to be given the treatment, which is made from the BODY’S OWN CELLS.
Now, two landmark studies have revealed the therapy’s stunning potential.

One suggests it will last for at least 14 years in the body, raising the tantalising prospect of a permanent cure for cancer. In the other, 94% of terminally ill patients saw the disease vanish completely.

The extraordinary results seen in the so-called "liquid" cancers such as Leukaemia rather than those that form solid Tumours , are ‘unprecedented in medicine’, the world’s biggest science conference heard.

Researcher Chiara Bonini said: ‘This really is a revolution.’

The treatment is created from T-cellsWhite Blood Cells that normally fight off Viruses and Bacteria are removed from the patient and genetically tweaked to recognise and attack their cancer.

The genetically-modified cells are then grown in their millions in a lab before being infused back into the patient, where they hunt down and destroy the cancer cells. Scientists around the world are perfecting the technique, and a series of trials have shown it to have remarkable potential.



Some of the most exciting results come from the San Raffaele Scientific Institute in Milan, where doctors gave ten patients infusions of T-cells and watched how long they lasted in the body. One type of T-cell survived for 14 years, the conference of the American Association for the Advancement of Science heard.

Dr. Bonini said these cells may last for life. If they were also genetically engineered to hunt out and destroy cancer, they would patrol the body year after year and stop it from ever returning.

She likened the Therapy to a Vaccine that gives protection for life against an infection, adding: ‘T-cells are a living drug and they have the potential to persist in our body for our whole lives. Our findings have profound implications for the design of T-cell-based Immunotherapies.’

Dr. Bonini said patients were ‘very close’ to the first treatments becoming widely available.

Professor Daniel Davis, a Manchester University expert on the immune system, described the study as an important advance.

He said: ‘The implication is that infusing genetically-modified versions of these particular T-cells could provide a long-lasting immune response. Immunotherapy has great potential to revolutionise cancer treatments and this study shows which type of T-cells might be especially useful to manipulate.’

A second study, also presented at the conference in Washington DC, reinforced the potential of T-cell immunotherapy.

When scientists at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Centre in Seattle gave genetically-modified T-cells to leukaemia patients with months to live, the cancer disappeared in 94 per cent of cases. Patients with other blood cancers saw response rates of greater than 80 per cent, with more than half experiencing complete remission.

Researcher Dr. Stanley Riddell said: "These are patients that have failed [every other treatment]"

Most patients in our trial would be projected to have two to five months to live. This is extraordinary… unprecedented in medicine to get response rates in this range in these very advanced patients.

We have a long way to go. The response is not always durable, some of these patients do relapse … but the early data is unprecedented.’

Professor Dirk Busch, a T-cell researcher at the Technical University of Munich, said: ‘We have now for the first time genetically engineered T-cells in patients.

A couple of years ago, nobody would have expected that they would work so nicely, that they would survive so nicely. That opens the door for getting more creative and making better cells.’

The treatment is not without its challenges, including side-effects that can be severe and even fatal. Success so far has been in Leukaemia and other ‘liquid’ cancers, rather than prostate, breast and other Tumours that form Lumps.
Getting T-cells deep inside solid Tumours will be difficult. Cost is also an issue, as the treatment is tailored to individual patients.

Cancer Research UK’s Dr. Kat Arney said it was an ‘exciting prospect’. She stressed that it ‘doesn’t yet work for all patients … we still need more results from more trials … but there’s a lot of hope this type of therapy could save lives. Like a vaccine that protects for life.

THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR DIET




People  having a hard time with eating misappropriation often ask me things like 
“I’m  so  tired  of  suffering, am too fat, heavy and overweight, please Just  tell  me  what  to do,  and  I’ll  do  it.”  
But  when  i encourage them to Eat Right, Eat  Differently, Eat only when Hungry, Rest, Exercise and finally give up JUNK  food  that  has  no  nutritional  value,  their face instantly changes  like a deflated balloon.

“I’ll  do  anything  you  want,  but  don’t  ask me  to give up the  food I Love,”  they say.
But After  a  few  weeks, again they’ll say "they’ve  been  vigilant about  bringing  more  awareness  to  their  eating,  that  they’ve been  making  sure  their  Tummies  are  Rumbling  before  they  Eat, resting,  feeding  their  souls  and  speaking  their  truths—all  of which  are YES  integral  to  healing process. 

But  they  often  leave  out  the  food component,  and  no  one  can  leave  out  the  food  component  and expect  to  heal  this  issue.  
No  one  can  continue  to  eat  the  same foods,  not  monitor  portion  size,  or  eat  when  they’re  not  hungry and  expect  to  achieve  and  maintain  a  natural,  healthy  body size.
Sure,  it’s  nice  to  imagine  that  you  can  take  off  the  weight and  eat  whatever  you  want, but  it  doesn’t  work  that  way. 

I’m not  saying  that  you  can’t  ever  treat  yourself  with  food.  You don’t  have  to  be  perfect.  I’m  far  from  perfect,  but  it  doesn’t impact  my  health  or  weight,  so  I  don’t  worry  about  it.  

That being   said,   it  took  a  few  years  of  strictly  following  the principles   of  good  eating  before  I  felt  comfortable  getting looser.   Until   you   reach   that   point   of   normalizing   your relationship  with  food,  and  are  no  longer  romanticizing  it,  it’s best  to be  strict  with yourself. 

Trying  to  be  moderate  about  eating  just  doesn’t  work  for people  with  a  history  of  food-related  issues.  And  the  food industry  certainly  isn’t  interested  in  helping.   
It’s  well  known  in the  industry  that  creating  foods  with  the  right  balance  of  fat, sugar  and  salt  makes  them  hard  to  resist.   

A  chocolate  chip cookie  is  a  perfect  example.  Such  foods  are  designed  to  be irresistible.  The  food  conglomerates’  profits  depend  on  making you  believe  that  their  products  are  the  earthly  equivalent  to heaven  in  your  mouth. If   we  all  woke  up  tomorrow  morning  and  decided  to consume  calories  from  whole  foods  (edibles  that  are  grown rather  than  made),  food  manufacturers  would  be  in  big  trouble. 

Even   with  their   state-of-the-art   labs   and   legions   of   food scientists,  they  haven’t  been  able  to  figure  out  how  to  make bananas  or  broccoli  or  brown  rice.  Consequently,  to  create products  that  they  can  charge  a  premium  for,  they  have  to process  real  food and turn  it  into  something  else:  Junk. Think  about  it;   
Food  companies  are  in  business  to  make money,  not  to  keep us  healthy.  They maximize  profits  by: 

1. Keeping  food  costs  low:
To  do  this,  they  increase  crop yields  by: 
a. Using fertilizers  made  from  petrochemicals. 
b. Spraying  crops  with poisonous  pesticides. 

2. Creating   a   market   of  loyal   customers (preferably addicts):   
The  companies  have  engineered  food  that  is irresistible  by  adding  lots  of  sugar,  high-fructose  corn syrup,  salt  and  fat.  Consequently,  we  have  become addicted  to  these  overblown  tastes.  There  is  no  more stable  market  than a  customer  base  full  of addicts. 

3. Brainwashing  us  into  buying  nutrient-bereft  junk:
 With advertising  that  stresses  taste  and low  prices. Taste  buds  are  creatures  of  habit.  As  our  most  malleable body  parts,  they  can  easily  be  coaxed  into  loving  almost anything.  But  even  though  they’ve  become  addicted  to  the overblown  taste  of  junk,  we  can  train  them  to  love  healthy  food the  same  way  we  trained  them  to  love  the  junk.  Here’s  how: 

First,  trade  in  your  junk  food  habit  for  a  healthy  food  habit  by buying   fresh   produce,   whole   grains   and   proteins   at   the supermarket.   
Then,  commit  to  a  habit  of  eating  healthy  food day  after  day.  Habits  are  formed  by  repetition.  Before  long, healthy  food  will  start  to  taste  amazing,  better  than  the  junk ever  did. 

Contrary  to  what  you  might  believe,  creating  a  healthy relationship   with  food  doesn’t   mean  sacrificing  taste.  You don’t  eliminate  the  pleasure  of  eating,   you  simply  eliminate eating  solely  for  pleasure,  and  that’s  a  big  difference. 
Healthy food  has  a  wholesome,  clean  taste  that’s  satisfying  in  a  way that junk   can  never  be. 

When  you  eat  healthy,  you  are rewarded  with  a  more  energetic,  younger-looking  and  better feeling  body.  You  also  get  the  pleasure  of  great  taste  and  the pride  of  knowing  that  you  are  treating  your  body  (and  the planet)  well, and  doing  your  part  to  ensure  its  future  health  and well-being.
